Connecting two computers into a local network using an Ethernet cable. i.

Firstly,we must prepare the Ethernet cable that will be used for this purpose. Following are the tools/ equipments used for that,    

UTP cable RJ 45 connectors A crimping Tool A pair of scissors

Cut off one end of UTP cable by pair of scissors or the crimping tool as shown in the figure. This should be done in a careful manner without cutting the cables inside.

iii.

The next step is to remove covering made out of rubber of the UTP cable.where are 4 pair ORANGE,GREEN,BLUE and BROWN.as shown in the figure.

iv.

The wires must be separated according to an order as in the figure.and straighten them.After this trim the ends of the cables.

v.

Insert the cables into the RJ 45 connector head.

vi.

By Using a crimping tool lock the cable into the RJ45.before insert the connector into the crimping tool the yellow pin on the connector is facing you.

vii.

The above steps are done to the other end of the cable too.

viii.

To ensure the RJ45 has been installed properly into both ends you can use a cable tester.
