CREATING YOUR OWN KAHOOT Follow the outline below to create a Kahoot to use with your students, 1) Log on to getkahoot.com * Chrome, Firebox, Safari work best (avoid Internet Explorer) 2) Create an account (or sign-in)  Enter Username or Email  Generate a password 3) Click on Purple Button for ‘NEW K!’ in the top left  Select QUIZ to assign points and time  Select DISCUSSION for student/instructor discussion and interaction  Select POLL for questions WITHOUT points 4) Name your QUIZ and select GO 5) Creating Questions and Answers  Enter First Question in Text Box (Limit of 90 Characters)  Set Points or Not Points  Set Time Limit for students to answer question (5 secs. – 120 secs.)  Use an image if desired  Enter Possible Answers in Boxes Below (Limit of 60 Characters) o Click on RED “Incorrect” box to change to GREEN “Correct” status for correct answer  Click on ‘Add Question’ to insert more questions 6) Repeat Step 5 until all of your questions are completed 7) Click on Save and Continue on the bottom of the page 8) Switch Question order by clicking and dragging on questions to place in appropriate order 9) Change settings  MUST Select and audience to continue  Public = anyone can play and use Private = only you can use 10) Insert a cover picture to be used at the beginning of the quiz (if desired) 11) After clicking Save and Continue, you can play and launch, or wait until later  If waiting until later, you can launch when you log back in from a classroom, then select ‘MY KAHOOTS’ from the top menu, select which Kahoot you want to launch  Students can then follow on screen instructions for how to play Kahoot!
