DRAYAGE/MATERIAL HANDLING

TRADESHOW SERVICES, INC.
DRAYAGE you say? What is that? DRAYAGE (also referred to as Material Handing) is the unloading of your freight (including carpet/padding) from either your shipping carrier to the advanced warehouse or showsite BEFORE the show. During the show, your crates/containers are stored if needed. Empty crates are then returned to your booth at the close of show. After you have packed up your crates, including carpet/padding, these items are then reloaded as freight back onto your shipping carrier. Consolidate as much material as possible into each crate or skid
Yes, every Individual parcel is billed the minimum 200lb. fee
FREIGHT is any exhibit material that is shipped or delivered to the advance warehouse or direct to show facility via shipping carrier, POV or delivery truck.
Then what is the difference between MATERIAL HANDLING and SHIPPING? Shipping is the carrying of your shipment from your location, pickup area or Under One Roof (if it is your carpet/padding) to its destination and returning your shipment back at the close of show. MATERIAL HANDLING BEGINS at the time your shipment ARRIVES at the LOADING DOCK! On average, 16% of your final trade show cost is from drayage.
Did you know!
Under One Roof does NOT include DRAYAGE/MATERIAL HANDING in our cost to you. Your drayage is invoiced separately from the show!
