To meet these demands in the precision manufacturing of crankshafts and long camshafts for high-performance engines, the company acquired a GMX 400 linear turning / milling centre from GILDEMEISTER last fall. It is already clear that the option for technology integration has lead to time-savings of up to 40%, in comparison to sequential manufacturing on several lathes and milling machines with the added benefit of increased efficiency and minimised reject rates.
