Commentary

(1) Sex, Love and Other Stuff is a booklet developed for young men, with young men, that talks about sex, relationships, power and respect. It has been specifically developed from what young men told us they wanted to know — stuff like, what a ‘relationship’ is, how to talk to girls, and about sex. There’s quite a bit of info about how to give and get respect, how to communicate with a partner or someone you’re interested in. And there’s a checklist to suss out how respectful a relationship is. (2) A resource made for young women about healthy and unhealthy relationships. It provides the latest evidence on the neurological and developmental impacts on children of experiencing family violence, insights by experts on how to understand the behavioural effects on these children and a range of effective interventions that can be used to help children and families heal. Online resources: From Surviving to Thriving. You Tube clips. FOR TRAINERS WHO WORK WITH: Health professionals including: doctors, nurses and allied health therapists. (4) This resource has been developed to assist doctors in identifying and responding to women and children who have experienced or are experiencing family violence (also known as ‘domestic violence’ or ‘intimate partner violence’.) The toolkit contains guidelines for patient care, from a range of sources, as well as some legal information relevant to your role as her GP. (5) The 'Competency Package' is a new resource consisting of an information package for GPs and nurses on the Domestic Violence Provision in Immigration Law and their role within in. This brief package explains the DV Provision, explores why it is important to support women in this situation and provides useful suggestions on how to write a most effective statutory declaration to assist women.

(6) A companion CD-ROM2 with a copy of this resource, the associated literature review and related resources is included inside the cover. Further copies are available from www.nceta.flinders.edu.au.
