Coverage Options* Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) CDW is an optional coverage that reduces your financial responsibility in the event of collision or an act of vandalism to your Avis vehicle. You are responsible for the repair expenses of the vehicle if you do not accept CDW.

Super CDW This optional coverage lowers your responsibility for payment arising from collision damage caused to the vehicle or part thereof.

Theft Protection (TP) TP is an optional coverage that reduces your financial responsibility in the event of total or partial loss to your Avis vehicle due to theft. You are responsible for the replacement cost of the vehicle if you do not accept CDW.

Super TP This optional coverage lowers your responsibility for payment arising from the theft of the vehicle or part thereof.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)

Super PAI Increases This optional coverage extends to personal effects, baggage, and other expenses.

Inclusive Rates

Booking

PAI covers accidental death, some medical expenses and assistance and rescue resulting from an accident during the rental. Please inquire at the time of rental whether your current insurance requires PAI.

Avis offers rates inclusive of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP). In most countries, inclusive rates are optional, although in some countries they are automatic.

Driving Requirements Minimum Age / Under Age Fee Each customer and additional driver must meet the Avis minimum age requirement. Requirements and fees vary by country.

Driver’s License Each customer and additional driver must have an acceptable driving record and present a valid driver’s license, which does not expire throughout the rental period.

International Driver’s License An international driver’s license is strongly recommended in addition to your U.S. license. Visit any local AAA office prior to leaving the U.S. to purchase an international driver’s license, which may be used for one calendar year.

Avis 3-Minute Promise We guarantee a faster start for all Avis Preferred members. If you do not have your keys within three minutes, 30 euros will be deducted directly from your rental amount.*

Fill-Up Flexibility No trip should end with a frustrating search for a gas station. Choose the refueling option that fits your schedule. • Pre-Pay: Save time and money by buying a full tank of gas ahead of your rental. Your charge will be comparable to local gas station prices. • Pay on Return: Pay for the fuel you use, plus a service charge, and we’ll fill up the tank for you after your return. • Return with a Full Tank: Fill the tank before you return to avoid any fuel-related charges.

- When travelling fewer than 75 miles / 120kms you can now save time with EZFuel, where we take care of refuelling the vehicle for a flat fee — and you don’t have to find a local petrol station. - If you decide to fill up the vehicle yourself, just present a fuel receipt when dropping off the vehicle and we will gladly refund the EZFuel charge.
