Enjoy a leisurely hour-long cruise along the Murray River on board the PS Pyap and learn about the influence that paddlesteamers had during the settlement period. PS Pyap departs from the Pioneer Settlement wharf daily at 2:30pm. On weekends, public holidays and Victorian school holidays, an extra cruise also departs at 10:30am.

Don't miss this 360-degree multi-media show displayed against a giant water screen. Heartbeat of the Murray uses water, light, laser, sound and special effects to transport viewers back 30 million years before travelling onwards through time.

After a well-deserved sleep on day three, it’s now time to awake nice and early for some exciting outdoor adventures. Regardless of whether you feel at home on land or in the water, there is no shortage of outdoor activities to partake in.

Keen to hike? The Nyah-Vinifera Park offers bush-walking trails along the Murray River via breathtaking forest. Note: there are a few tough spots so make sure everyone packs sensible shoes! Prefer to cycle? Head to Lake Boga. Highlights on this trail include the restored turtle lagoon and the Flying Boat Museum, featuring a beautifully restored Catalina flying boat from World War II.

More Family Fun On warm days, the BIG4 splash park beckons with its multi-level aquatic play area featuring an 8.5m tipping bucket. Riverside Park offers spacious green lawns and playgrounds, a perfect place for all to unwind. Keep an eye out for the ten steps where you can relax or go fishing. For a unique experience, visit Olson Pheasant Farm, Australia’s largest game bird farm in operation.
