Platinum Spotlight Missy Keller, Organizing Specialist for Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association Two years ago, Missy found herself consumed by work and stress, and close to 320 pounds. The scale at Publix wouldn’t even register her weight. That’s when she decided it was time to change her life completely. It was around that same time when she heard about Go365. With the help of Ashley Kuczynski, Humana’s Go365 consultant, she learned all about the program, decided to participate and make some serious changes.
Missy before
Missy started by changing her diet and becoming more active. She currently averages 25,000 steps per day, participates in 5Ks, incorporates vegetables into her diet, but allows herself a treat now and then. “Everything in moderation,” she says. The occasional chocolate-covered pecans help keep her on track the rest of the time. She ends each day by setting her Go365 goals for the following day. As a result of her dedication to the program for the past two years, Missy has gradually lost over 100 pounds. Her blood pressure has improved to the point where she no longer has to take medication. And she’s even looking forward to her next biometric screening to see how much better her numbers are.
Missy now, but she’s not done yet!
Her goal for 2018 is to decrease her Go365 age, which started out at 66—far older than her true age. Today, she strives to maintain her mental balance, to get more sleep, and to holistically be a better person.
Congratulations to the Most Engaged Schools in October

Aetna Resources for Living Is All About YOU! Shop Safe Online: Five Tips to Keep Your Info Secure This time of year, the convenience of internet shopping is ideal. With ample options, deals, and sometimes free shipping, it’s appealing to stay at home and have everything sent to you with one click. However, we want to make sure you don’t sacrifice security for convenience. By following the steps outlined below, you can help protect your identity and financial accounts. Watch out for impersonators. Don’t share personal information on the phone, through the mail, or online unless you’ve initiated the contact and know who you’re dealing with. When in doubt, visit the company website or call the customer service number on your account statement. Keep passwords private. Set social media pages to private and use a different password for each account. Depending on your posting habits, online posts can give away answers to security questions and facilitate access to your account. It’s also a good idea to keep from storing passwords online or where someone else can easily find them. Consider password-keeping software or apps for additional help with this step. Look for the lock. A “lock” icon ( ) on the status bar of your internet browser means your information will be safe when it’s transmitted. Look for the lock before you transmit personal information. Be wise about Wi-Fi. If you’re away from home or work and using a public wireless network, only join secure, recognizable networks, and be cautious about sharing financial information, looking for the “lock” icon on the transaction site if the connection is not free. Defend your devices. Store financial information on your phone, tablet, or laptop only when necessary. Lock your device with a secure passcode or password, and don’t leave it somewhere easily accessible to others, like an unlocked car.
