LOVE BREWING

hether you are new to Brampton or have lived/worked here for some time, we would love you to get into the spirit of the Chatsworth Road Festival Celebrations! Throughout the 4 day celebrations local businesses, schools, community group and churches are holding special events, activities and offers to celebrate living and working on and around Chatsworth Road. We can’t close the road off and create a village fair, but we can support our local businesses, groups and schools throughout the four day period, creating a sense of ownership for our local community. Whilst a bonus and not the purpose of the Celebrations - many of our previous year’s events have raised money for local and overseas charities. [We don’t have an absolute total for last year, but we are aware of over £400 raised for various organisations!] This, the 6th Festival has many new events and activities, from Messy Craft at the Lighthouse Charity Shop; Theatre Company Presentations – adding to, and building on our extensive list of regular discount offers; live music; coffee mornings; pop-up stalls; competitions; open days; dance classes; special meal deals; taster sessions; and so on ….. There are three groups of people who need to be thanked publicly…..We would like to thank local businesses, schools, community groups and churches for their continuing interest, participation and imaginative ideas. Without this group of people - the festival could not get off the ground! We would like to thank everyone who supports all manner of Celebrations throughout the 4 day period. Without yourselves and your encouragement, there would be no Festival! And thirdly, our publicity costs money. We would like to thank Derbyshire County Councillors Ron Mihaly and Keith Morgan, for their financial support towards these costs, along with their continued support and encouragement. Also S40 our sponsor funds hours of design work for our publicity and Guide, and MinuteMan Press for competitive printing rates – Thank You everyone! Not wishing to confuse you, we have decided to start using the word Celebration in some of our publicity. We don’t mind whether you use Festival, Celebration or a combination of both, but sharing conversation; comments; photos; tweets and facebook messages as widely as you can would really help get Chatsworth Road on the Map!
