The E-Coating on Screw Products, Inc.’s E-coated fasteners has been designed to protect against the corrosive qualities of chemically pressure treated lumber such as ACQ, CCA etc. This is a proprietary coating that has withstood 1,000 hours of salt spray testing, thus, we have not encountered any failures to date. Thus, we offer the following guarantee: Screw Products, Inc. will replace any corroded fasteners and provide a fair means of remedy for the re-installation of defective fasteners for the life of the project.*
This guarantee, however, does not cover the following conditions: 1) Improper installation of fastener resulting in the removal of the coating. 2) Not countersinking the head just below flush to eliminate excess wear. 3) Use of these fasteners with dissimilar metals which may accelerate corrosion (stainless steel/galvanized). 4) Use of these fasteners within 1 mile of salt water contact.
