Firkin:(512) White IPA -‐ dry hopped with experimental variety 07270 Style: Belgian White India Pale Ale ABV: 5.3% IBU: 55.0 Refreshingly light, this Belgian inspired India Pale Ale delivers hot weather satisfaction with pronounced hop character and flavor. This cask-‐conditioned version was generously dry-‐hopped with the bold and citrusy, wonderfully palindromic experimental variety 07270. Firkin: (512) Four English Strong Ale -‐ dry hopped with experimental variety 05256 Style: English Strong Ale ABV: 7.5% IBU: 35.0 (512) FOUR is a classic English-‐style Strong Ale. The biscuity Maris Otter and caramelly Crystal malts contribute notes of toast, toffee, and dried fruits, which are perfectly balanced with a blend of authentic UK Fuggle and East Kent Golding hops. Dry-‐hopped with Northdown, and then dry-‐hopped again in the cask with experimental variety 05256, (512) FOUR is a complex and satisfying ale. Brewery: 8th Wonder Makers of Handcrafted and Fun Times in East Downtown Houston. Brewery: Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company is a new twist on an old craft. With creativity as our main goal, we subscribe to our own definitions regarding brewing parameters and guidelines, without sacrificing flavor or consistency. Combining cutting-‐edge technology and technique with wildly sourced flavors, our innovative offerings create new narratives for how we think about beer. From grain to glass Buff Brews tell a story, invoking traditional and balanced flavor symmetry in our “Heritage Series,” as well as revolutionary and radical palates in our “Secessionist Series,” that break all the rules and alter the beer landscape. It is our mission to create beers that not only honor the pioneering history of Texas, but celebrate the adventurous spirit of a city built on outlaws and invention. Firkin: Cedar Aged Don't Fear The RIPA Style: Rye IPA ABV: 7.5% IBU: 70.0 Hops take the main stage with a West Coast style malt bill. Very hop forward with piney character notes. An aggressive IPA with a little extra spice from the rye. Cedar bolsters the hops by adding a resiny character to the mouthfeel. Brewery: Cyclers Brewing Cyclers Brewing (The name should tell it all.) Funny how all this stuff starts… Seriously, in our case, Cyclers Brewing came about by friends who enjoy varied taste elements in food. Food is social. It has been, and it always will be. This transferred over into our varied creation of ales along with their different taste elements that we enjoy. We’re confident you will too. We are located in Historic Montgomery, Texas, inside The Sam Houston National Forest. Our private, deep well furnishes the source for the unique taste of our beers. We enjoy the process immensely and are confident you’ll enjoy our commitment to making unique and flavorful products. Let’s ride! Firkin: Whiskey Oak Aged Derailleur Style: Whiskey Oak Aged Scotch/Porter ABV: 8.5% IBU: 78.0 A combination of two Great Styles. Malt forward with gravity is the order for Scotch ales, and the porter style balances this with chocolate and roasted flavors. This beer has the addition of Whiskey Oak Chips and is aged from 6 weeks to 3 months. You will not find this beer to be a bourbon bomb. I slight taste of the whiskey to balance the flavors is the mark we aimed for.
Firkin (Pin): Domestique "French Oak" Wit Style: Belgian Wit, aged on Med. Toast French oak ABV: 5.1% IBU: 10.0 Our American version of a Belgian Wheat Ale. Traditionally unfiltered. Along with the Wheat Malts and Organic Oats, you’ll find hints (yes… hints, not bombastic amounts) of Coriander, Lavender, and Bitter Orange peel, which gives it a slight lemony touch. We use aged hops, so there is very low levels of hops in both taste and aroma. We aged this beer on Med. Toast French Oak Chips and it gives it darker color, and a slight buttery, Chardonnay Finish. Brewery: Fort Bend Brewing Co. The brewing operations staff at Fort Bend Brewing is a merry band of idiots that can’t take things seriously enough to write anything other than sarcastic stories about themselves; in short, they’re a couple of smart-‐asses that love beer and brewing it. Firkin: Phat DJ Style: American IPA ABV: 6.2% IBU: 60.0 Dry-‐Hopped Phat DJ (Amarillo and Citra) This IPA comes to life with all the right hops and brings them to the center stage. Northwestern American varieties spin together seamlessly to create a perfect hop profile of citrus and tropical fruit. Balanced by a back beat with just the right amount of malt to remain hop forward, this one hits all the right notes. Brewery: Karbach Brewing Co. We like beer. A lot. Our background is in the beer biz. Everything from distribution and importing to German training and brewery operations. A few years ago we had an opportunity that would allow us to open up our own brewery. We jumped on it. We’re extremely excited about this brewery, and we think it shows in everything we do. This is just plain fun for us. The day it starts to feel like a job is the day when lightning shall strike us dead. Cause, hey, at the end of the day we're making beer. And beer is fun. Join us, it should be a kick ass ride with some cool stops along the way! Firkin: Hop Delusion
Style: Imperial IPA ABV: 9% IBU: 100.0+ Pours deep gold into the glass with a puffy white head. Resinous, dank aromas lead to intense bitterness with slight caramel malt flavor. Citrus and peach-‐like flavors dominate while finishing smooth across the tongue. Firkin: Rodeo Clown Style: DIPA ABV: 9.5% IBU: 85.0 Rodeo Clown with whole cone Simcoe hops. Brewery: Lone Pint Brewery The Lone Pint Brewery is a grassroots insurrection with the true beer lover in mind. We are dedicated to creating distinctive local Texas ales that are tasty, hoppy, and quaffable. We use raw whole cone hops for bittering, flavoring, aroma, and dry hopping additions in all of our brews. Firkin: Gentleman's Relish Style: Brown Ale ABV: 6.2% IBU: 28.0 "Our Brown Ale gives a nod to the Northern English Brown style. However, since defeating the English in 1783, it is analogistic that the American version be stronger to reflect on England's vanquishment. Gentleman's Relish uses Maris Otter malt as the base, augmented with dark crystal and chocolate malts. Whole cone English hops are used throughout the boil, imparting their characteristic smooth bitterness. The beer is named after an Englishman's favorite snack, an anchovy paste, typically eaten on toast. This firkin has been aged with coffee." Firkin: Yellow Rose Style: IPA ABV: 6.8% IBU: 62.0 "A SMaSH, Single Malt and Single Hop, IPA using a caboodle (technical term for a large amount of malt) of malt and a new hop released in 2012 called Mosaic (HBC 369). It is a daughter of Simcoe (YCR 14), one of our favorite hops. Whole cone Mosaic is used for bittering, flavoring, and aroma in the kettle; it is also massively dry hopped. The beer is named after a Texas Heroine. This firkin has been aged with Saskatoons."
Brewery: New Republic Brewing Co Founded 2010 in College Station by a group of folk that love good beer. Our usual lineup falls in the "traditional" category, but for Firkin Fest we're having a little fun. Firkin: Leane Style: Ginger Blonde ABV: 5.2% IBU: 25.0 Pronounced "lee-‐anne", but spelled as "lean". Perhaps the beer got to us when we picked the name (or its' the middle name of someone at the brewery -‐ also a ginger blonde). For this beer we decided to infuse ginger into Kadigan (pronounced as a Bostontian would say "cardigan"). Crisp, refreshing, and despite being a ginger this beer has a soul. Firkin: Mocha Fire Rooster Style: Mocha Sriacha Dunkelweizen ABV: 5.6% IBU: 20.0 Feathery wheat softly tickles your lips, then bursts into your mouth with chocolate flame. Like Skylight? Like chocolate and coffee? Like Sriacha? How about roosters? Then you'll like them mixed together and served from a cask. Beer does not contain actual rooster. Brewery: No Label Brewing Co. No Label Brewing Co. truly began one sunny Saturday afternoon in the spring of 2009. The Royo family was sitting on the back porch enjoying some of Brian’s homebrew. After many pints, the conversation turned to the possibility of opening our own brewery. No Label Brewing Co.’s first home was an old rice silo sitting empty in Old Town Katy. We signed the lease and after many months of sweat and tears our brewery was ready. We started holding small tastings for family and friends, who told their families and friends, and the numbers began to grow. Firkin: Delta Force 2 Style: Hefeweien ABV: 5.0% IBU: 12.0 Bigger and sharper than it’s little brother. We took our traditional German hefeweizen beer, El Hefe, and dry hopped it with one of the newer hop varieties, Delta. Delta gives a slight spice character with some citrus that plays well with the banana and clove flavors in the base beer. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find it, drink Delta Force 2. Firkin: Southern Pleasure
Style: Blonde ABV: 5.0% IBU: 14.0 There are some things in life which should be appreciated at an unhurried pace. A hammock strung between the trees and a nice wind. A Sunday afternoon with no bosses to answer to. A well-‐crafted beer. We took our 1st Street blonde and made some pleasant additions of our own: ginger, orange, black tea, vanilla. We brought the beer, now who brought the hammock? Brewery: Real Ale Brewing Company Welcome to the Texas Hill Country -‐ the home of Real Ale Brewing Company, where a dedicated team of brewers produces quality handcrafted ales. Utilizing a 60-‐barrel stainless steel brewing system, we incorporate 100% malted grain, domestic and imported hops, and crystal clear water into our unique recipes. Cheers and thanks for your support! Firkin Four Squared Style: Dry Hopped Ale ABV: 5.6% IBU: 50.0 What do you get when you take our top-‐selling Firemans #4 and transform it into Four Squared? Blonde Ale to the power of awesome! You might ask how we’ve accomplished this, and you probably should. We start with the basic Firemans recipe, add more of our premium 2-‐row malted barley to boost the gravity, and finish with massive charges of hops to give some bulk to this burly blonde. The clean, dry finish remains, supplemented by a proliferation of Crystal, Herkules and Amarillo hops. Add a round of dry-‐hopping, and you’re left with commanding notes of citrus and a substantial hop flavor and aroma. Firkins have been additionally dry-‐ hopped with a blend of Cascade and Centennial. Firkin: Blakkr Style: Imperial Black Ale ABV: 9.0% IBU: 90.0 BLAKKR Imperial Black Ale is the spawn of the long awaited collaboration between Surly, Three Floyds and Real Ale Brewing Company. Subtle dark malt and toffee character quickly yields to the citrus and tropical notes provided by a staggering amount of hops. Bonded by their love of brewing and love of metal, this unholy trinity of brewers has unleashed a crushing, black as night double IPA. Firkins have been additionally dry-‐hopped with Simcoe. Hail the mighty BLAKKR! Brewery: Saint Arnold Brewing Company

Firkin: Icon Green: Texas Common Style: Common ABV: 6.2% IBU: 62.0 Brewed with the inspiration of a common lager, this hoppy Texas version uses 100% Mosaic hops to bring out the passion fruit essence while maintaining a nutty body. The firkin is then dry hopped with more Mosaic action to further enhance the party in your mouth. Firkin: 20th Anniversary Ale Style: Barleywine ABV: 11.5% IBU: 50.0 "The balance is perfect with the malt and hops tingling together in unison from start to finish. There is a slight lingering dry bitter that stays with you but this also complements the sweetness from the all malt grain bill that could easily have become cloying."
