If you've lost your Livebox set-up CD, or are having problems using the CD, you can connect your Livebox to the Internet manually. We suggest that you make your first connection using a wired connection, then if required connect wirelessly later on. If this isn't possible, or you'd prefer to connect wirelessly for your first connection, you'll find a link in the appropriate place in this article.
Before you start, check you have everything you need: a Livebox broadband cable (RJ11) broadband filters (one for each piece of equipment connected to your telephone line) Ethernet/ network cable (RJ45) power adaptor your username & password (eg yourname.orangehome.co.uk@fs) an active Orange broadband service step 1 - connect the cables connect the power adaptor to the Livebox

plug the power adaptor into the mains (checking it's turned on)
connect the broadband cable (RJ11) to Livebox (directly next to the power socket)

connect the broadband cable (RJ11) to one of your broadband filters connect the filter to your wall socket
If you need to plug your phone into the same socket as Livebox, make sure you connect it through the broadband filter. Please note: If you have other equipment plugged into your telephone line, eg additional phones, a fax machine, or Sky, these will all need to be filtered. plug one end of the network cable into your computers network socket

Please note: if you need to connect wirelessly for your first connection, choose one of the articles below: I have an Orange wireless adaptor - SpeedTouch 121g I'll have an internal wireless adaptor, eg Centrino step 2 - check broadband is live Before proceeding, check that broadband is live on your line. This will be indicated by a slow flashing @ light (about once a second) on your Livebox. If it is, go to step 3.

If it's flashing quickly: check that you've waited 10 days after registering check that you've connected your broadband filters correctly to each piece of telephone equipment on your line If it's on solid, then you should be able to connect to the Internet. step 3 - set up your Livebox open a browser, eg Internet Explorer, or Firefox type http://configuration.adsl into the address bar - note that you'll only be able to view this from a computer connected to Livebox click on 'access to the configuration pages...'
You'll be prompted to enter the Livebox username and password Please note: this is different to your Internet access password. The username is: admin The password is: admin From the configuration homepage you can update your username and password. To do this:

click on My Services then click on Internet
update your details in the 'connection login' and 'connection password' fields to confirm changes, click on Validate. After about a minute, the @ light on your Livebox should change to solid and ADSL status will display: Connected 81.**.***.** (IP address may vary) If the username or password has been entered incorrectly, you'll see the message 'Invalid ADSL authentication'.
