To ensure your application’s greatest chance of success, please provide as much detail as you can about your organization and its need for books. Incomplete or vague information is not sufficient. Every year IBP receives many requests for books. In your own words, please explain why IBP should select your organization to receive shipments of books. Include information about new or ongoing educational programs in your community that will benefit by having these books available for use and how they fit in with the goals of your organization. The more detail, the better. Attach up to two additional sheets as needed.

Types of Books Please understand that the vast majority of IBP recipients receive two 32 lbs. boxes (Small Shipments) of books. The absolute most books you will receive in one shipment is 100. If you desire a classroom set (approx. 20 per set of the same title), please mark the appropriate box. For example, if you want one classroom set, you will mark the ‘classroom set’ box with a ‘1’. If you want two sets, you will mark ‘2’. We will try to fulfill each request, but we cannot guarantee that we will have classroom sets for each subject listed. The ‘# of books’ column indicates the number you want per shipment. The books will be a random assortment of titles under the same subject. In the notes section at the bottom of the application, please make a list of subjects you most prefer and need. If you can fund a pallet or sea container shipment, contact our Project Coordinator at
