Pre-Registration handout , brochure and posters (AR/EN) Between the end of May and the end of July 2016, teams from the Asylum Service will visit sites where refugees and migrants live on the Greek mainland. This process is called “pre-registration”. The purpose of preregistration is to give you an opportunity to ask for asylum, if you are afraid to return to your home country because you fear for your life or safety. Depending on your individual case, it is also possible that you can ask to be transferred to another European country or join a family member in another European country. The options that are available to you depend on your individual case and the laws of Greece and the European Union. Pre-registration documents are uploaded under guidance tab on the webportal.



Who is doing What and Where (3W) Gap analysis An updated 3W Gap analysis that represents humanitarian actors planned and ongoing activities per sectors and per sites. The 3W analysis are uploaded under 3W tab on the webportal. The analysis covers the following region:



Attica , Central Greece, Central Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace , Epirus_Western Greece and Macedonia, and Western Greece , Lesvos, Chios, Rhodes, KOS, and Samos.

Daily arrivals, trends and Sites map Daily estimates : A daily report that present the number of arrivals per location. The report covers the period from 01 Jan 2016 till 05 June 2016. This document is uploaded daily on the web portal. Greece sites : A daily map that represents presence and capacity per every site . Site Profiles Site Profiles Greece: A document that provides detailed information on sites. This document allow better planning and address gaps that are highlighted.

Profiling of Afghans and Syrian as of March 2016 Profiling of Syrians and Afghans: In the month of March 2016, 27,000 people made the journey across the Mediterranean to Greece bringing the total of arrivals in the first three months of the year to 151,400. In 2015, there were 856,000 sea arrivals. UNHCR initiated a data collection and analysis exercise with support from the Joint IDP Profiling Service (JIPS) in order to better inform the wider community on the profile of refugees arriving to Greece, and improve immediate response and longer term planning. The exercise focused on Syrian, Iraqis and Afghan arrivals.

Weekly Accommodation/ Relocation Report At the EU Leaders’ Summit on 25 October 2015, UNHCR committed to establish 20,000 accommodation places and to support the Government of Greece’s efforts to increase their reception capacity for asylum-seekers by 30,000, yielding to a total of 50,000 reception places. People seeking asylum in Greece, prioritizing the most vulnerable. A weekly report that presents the information contained in the database is published. Greece Coordination structure To enhance and strengthen coordination, provide technical support and oversight in all coordination related issues, promote coordination standards and quality assurance and support country-wide capacity building efforts, the Inter-Agency Coordination Unit has structured and endorsed a coordination structure at the national level and on the islands for example: Chios and KOS .
