KVM matrix system – ControlCenter-Compact Succeeding the compact matrix series DVICenter, the ControlCenter-Compact has been added to G&D’s variety of digital matrix systems. The database of the ControlCenter-Compact provides even more sophisticated management options so that large installations can be used in an ideal way – especially when employing the KVM matrix grid. The entire ControlCenter-Compact series is compatible with the matrix switches DVICenter, ControlCenter-Digital and the components to connect computer and user modules. Among them are the new DP1.2-Vision systems, which allow the matrix to transmit 4K video with a refresh rate of 60 Hz without any latency.

to connect computers or simultaneous workstations. Depending on the variant, the ControlCenter-Compact allows the operation of 1 - 79 computers via 79 - 1 simultaneous user modules. Up to 80 available ports can be combined according to your individual requirements. The fast and consistent operation/configuration of the ControlCenter-Compact systems is carried out via OSD + hotkeys or web interface. Both, OSD and hotkeys are available for all user modules; the web interface can be used over network.

Versatile variations The ControlCenter-Compact is available in the variants 16C, 32C, 48C, 64C and 80C with 16, 32, 48, 64 or 80 CAT ports. Fiber and mixed variants with the same number of ports are currently in development. Thanks to its dynamic ports, each interface can be used either as input or output Transmitted signals/highlights Variants with 80/64/48/32/16 dynamic ports DisplayPort™ up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz (4K / UHD) DVI single-link up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz + VGA

MultiPower-NT - G&D monitoring via network The MultiPower series serves as the central power source of G&D devices that require an external power pack (12V). The new “NT” variants are provided with a network interface and can be used to directly query various monitoring values such as temperature, current or online/offline. All functions of these devices can now be monitored together with the rest of the installation.

KVM Matrix-Grid™ for complex infrastructures A KVM matrix grid can be used in applications that desire bidirectional access between two or more matrix central units, in which the size of the system requires a network or where, due to redundancies, important connections need to be distributed to multiple KVM matrices. By default, G&D digital matrix systems can be expanded by means of a top-down cascade. Moreover, the matrix grid establishes bidirectional communication between individual matrix switches. Now systems can be interconnected even more easier to facilitate larger installations. Thus, users are able to operate the system bidirectionally at multiple locations. For transmission between two matrix systems, the devices are directly connected via I/O ports. Each simultaneous KVM connection beyond a matrix requires a connection to the grid. To establish a communication between the matrices they are connected to a network that provides access to a shared database. At all expansion stages, digital matrix systems from G&D can be integrated into the matrix grid. This includes the entire ControlCenter-Compact and ControlCenter-Digital series. Up to 24 matrices can be part of one grid. Within this framework, any topologies are possible (e.g. strand, tree, ring, star, meshed network). The systems included in a grid are virtually combined to form one large matrix for the users. Thus, all connected user consoles are able to access all connected computers within a grid. The system automatically takes over the routing of KVM signals by selecting the ideal path through the grid.

Your advantages: - Bidirectional operation from multiple locations - Distributed access to a great number of computers - Direct connections - Even larger installations possible - Higher reliability/more redundancy

Reducing the number of grid lines with the I/O-Card-Trunk An ever-growing installation also requires more cables to connect all components. Therefore, G&D has developed the I/O-Trunk-Card to combine the grid lines required within a KVM matrix grid. The card is placed in one of the I/O slots of the ControlCenter-Digital where it combines 4 of the 16 channels on one line. Transmission between two I/O-Card-Trunk is carried out by even more powerful components compared to the standard. These components let you use the fourfold of the bandwidth at the same time – thus saving you one fourth of cabling efforts.

New G&D extender systems for your requirements: Unlimited access with KVM-over-IP™

Transmitting DP signals via CAT cables or fibre optics

Essentially, G&D systems use a dedicated cabling. Thus, especially powerful applications can benefit from using the full bandwidth and therefore guarantee absolutely reliable transmission.

The digital KVM extender system DP-Vision consists of a computer module (transmitter) and a user module (receiver) and is used for the remote and local operation of a computer. A workstation can be connected to each module (remote and local console).

But network systems tend to become more powerful, too. Therefore, G&D now offers a KVM extender that allows access via IP structures. Especially working across locations requires the possibility to flexibly access remote systems. Thus, the new DP-Vision-IP transmits signals via G&D’s KVM-over-IP, which allows operators to use IP structures to access the connected computers. Combinations with other G&D systems are also possible thus allowing complex installations with worldwide access. Of course, G&D relies on the most recent encryption methods and comprehensive access protection.

DP-Vision

By default, the DP-Vision transmits the signals of keyboard and mouse (USB and PS/2) as well as DisplayPort™ (up to 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz, 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz), audio and RS232. Transparent USB 2.0 signals are optional. With redundant power supplies, network connection, web interface and the monitoring function, the DP-Vision offers numerous features for mission-critical applications. On top of this, the support of SNMP allows that status changes or critical status values can be actively forwarded via SNMP trap. The integrated SNMP agent can be used to actively query status information. To facilitate the operation of the devices even further, they now offer an on-screen display in addition to the new web interface. Via network (LAN), the DP-Vision supports the communication with the appliance KVM-NetworkCenter. This appliance can also be used to centrally query, configure and update multiple DP-Vision extenders in use.

IP transmission / DisplayPort™ / 4K@60 Hz KVM DP extenders for high-performance applications In many fields of applications installations always demand higher resolutions. Therefore, 4K @ 60Hz is more and more finding its way into IT installations. To meet these demands, G&D has developed new KVM extender system, which allows users to remove the necessary computer equipment into central technology rooms. The extenders enable the remote operation of systems and offer the uncompressed (DP1.2-Vision-XG) or compressed (DP1.2-Vision) transmission of DP1.2 signals. To produce the highest possible resolutions, the computers in use become increasingly powerful to be able to provide the required video data. Unfortunately, high performance computers also mean an increase of heat and noise – and therefore an even greater need to ban them from working spaces. By removing computers into central equipment rooms, other nuisances vanish from the working environment, too. The computer and user modules are connected via fibre optics. Despite distances of up to 10,000m between computer and workstation, users operate their systems

in a 1:1 connection without any latency or losses. The DP1.2-VisionXG provides the transparent transmission of video information – pixel by pixel and therefore guarantees absolutely lossless images. The DP1.2-VisionXG transmits video information pixel by pixel without using any kind of compression. This guarantees absolutely lossless and latency-free images. The powerful compression used for the DP1.2-Vision works without any visual losses, which also leads to pixel-perfect images. Thus, the compression enables 4K/UHD video with a refresh rate of 60 Hz even at lower bandwidths.

Transmission and highlights: DP1.2-VisionXG Uncompressed, transparent image transmission for perfect latency-free images – pixel by pixel DP1.2-Vision Compressed, transparent image transmission. Uses the new compression method HDIP level 3, developed by G&D, which requires less bandwidth to transmit signals, yet delivers visually pixel perfect lossless images The matrix therefore supports real 4K. Supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz (UHD@60Hz) or 4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz (4K@60Hz) Transmission via fibre optics up to 10,000 m Support of PS/2 and USB keyboard and mouse
