Sie basiert auf einer Umfrage im Mai und Juni 2010. Print or web, the world of photo magazines is divided on this. Alongside the net presence of almost all the established print magazines, a thriving number of photoblogs and webzines is struggling to attract our attention – and to find new modes of survival. Subsequent to our survey on “International Photography Festivals” (European Photography 84), we are now presenting 43 photo magazines, understood in the broadest sense of the term. Our selection ranges from classic journals like Aperture, Imago and Eikon, to promising recent projects like Der Greif, to equally diverse net media. The survey was carried out in May and June 2010.
