We want you to understand what types of information we are collecting and what may happen to that information. 1. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION Information is collected from scholarship applicants for purposes of selecting an awardee. An applicant is required to provide certain categories of information, such as name, address, e-mail address, date of birth, gender, academic records, activities and awards. In addition, a user may choose to provide other categories of information, such as career objectives, hobbies, and other interests. 2. USE OF INFORMATION The information that you supply to Iota Sigma Pi, Fluorine Chapter as part of the application process is only seen by the Fluorine Chapter selection committee, and only for purposes of selecting a scholarship awardee. Upon selection and notification of the scholarship awardee, contact information will be retained, but all other application materials are destroyed. Contact information will be shared with the administrator of the BP Scholarship Fund, solely for purposes of distributing the award. By applying for the Iota Sigma Pi BP Scholarship, you consent to your name and high school being used by Iota Sigma Pi, Fluorine Chapter, in announcing the scholarship awardee on its website, in newsletters, social media, and the like. 3. SHARING OF INFORMATION Contact information of the scholarship awardee will be shared with the administrator of the BP Scholarship Fund, solely for purposes of distributing the award. The awardee’s name and high school may be announced by Iota Sigma Pi, Fluorine Chapter, on its website, in newsletters, social media, and the like. 4. OTHER PROVISIONS Acceptance of Terms/Changes to Privacy Policy--Your use of this site indicates an acceptance of the terms of the Privacy Policy. Iota Sigma Pi, Fluorine Chapter reserves the right to update or amend this Privacy Policy at any time. If Iota Sigma Pi, Fluorine Chapter decides to materially change this Privacy Policy, those changes will be posted through a prominent notice on the web site.
