Iowa Commercial Manure Applicator Certification – January 5, 2017
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, will offer the Commercial Manure Applicator Certification/Recertification workshop on Thursday, January 5, 2017, from 9 a.m. to noon. The following counties are hosting this program. Please register by December 28, 2016, by calling the county where you plan to attend. *Indicates viewing site is different than ISU Extension and Outreach County Office. **Sioux County will hold two showings; at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. This notice is being sent to all currently certified commercial manure applicators. Businesses primarily hauling or applying dry/solid manure are encouraged to attend the dry/solid manure workshops.
Training Policy Iowa State University Extension and Outreach highly encourages all commercial manure applicators to attend training at one of the sites listed at the right or to consult their local County Extension and Outreach Office’s policy for “reshowing” these programs. There is no charge for attending the workshops or viewing the video on the scheduled reshow dates and times. Applicators requesting to view the training materials on dates not scheduled at the local County Extension and Outreach Office will be charged a fee of $10 per person. Anyone not able to attend training should schedule an appointment with their DNR field office to take the certification exam. For those unable to view the video training or test at DNR field office, you can take the online course at https://elearning-dnr.iowa.gov/.
