JOANN HARRIS JOANN "PETEY" HARRIS July 31, 1936 - May 22, 2012 JoAnn passed away early in the morning on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 with her husband of fifty-three years Paul, son Paul (Mike) and brother Robert at her side. JoAnn was born July 31, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio to Robert and Helen Nagel. She grew up in Golden, Colorado and graduated from Golden High School. She then went on to graduate from the University of Denver, with a degree in International Studies and received her teaching education from University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. JoAnn taught high school English in Barstow, California for over thirty years, and was a friend and mentor to many students. JoAnn was preceded in death by her father Robert, mother Helen, and her beloved sister Georgi. She is survived by her husband Paul of Cripple Creek, son Paul (Mike) daughter-in-law Kim, grandson and apple of her eye Matt Harris of Divide, Colorado, Robert Nagel (Montrose), nephew Robert Nagel (Denver), nephew Brandon Nagel (Arvada), niece Heidi Vert and family (Cottonwood, CA), niece Beth Michalak and family (McKinney, TX), niece Sheryl Harris (Loveland), Brother-in-law Charles Harris (Loveland), nephew Kent Harris and family (Mead), nephew Douglas Harris and family (Thousand Oaks, CA), niece Karen Harris (Loveland), Sister-in-law Sally Harris (Denver) niece Kim Pulse and family (Denver) and many, many friends. JoAnn will be greatly missed by friends and family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Cripple Creek Baptist Church in Cripple Creek, CO.
