JOB VACANCY COMMERCIAL LAWYER – LAW FIRM – BRISTOL, BS1 Posting Date: 16 June 2016 Closing Date: 31 July 2016 Position: Commercial Lawyer Salary: Dependent upon experience Job Type: Permanent Start Date: ASAP
Objectives:
To work closely with the Company Commercial team on large scale transactions, preparing transaction documents, filings, ancillary documents and complex research and analysis

To manage own caseload of commercial work
The Role:
Draft contracts, resolutions and agreements
Attend client meetings, take instructions and liaise with clients
Research and analyse laws and regulations associated with corporate and commercial law
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and record minutes
Assist the Partner with their caseload
Review client documents
Ensure accuracy in financial matters

Complying with the firm’s policies in the undertaking of its duties and assisting the partners and staff in achieving efficient management of work flows
Supporting the successful development of the firm in line with its objectives
Delivering a high standard of client care
Networking and participation in the firm’s marketing activities
Cross referral of work within the firm and department
Using and assisting in the development of relevant IT and case management systems for the department
Complying with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, Code of Conduct and the Money Laundering Regulations in accordance with current guidance from the SRA and the company
Identifying and meeting job related training and development targets
Any other matters reasonably required by the partners
Required:
Strong organisational skills
Experience in Company Commercial Law
A fundamental belief that excellent service is the goal in all tasks, internal and external
Intermediate knowledge of Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Excellent communication (written and oral) and personal skills
Ability to contribute to the client base and help market the firm's wider services
Ability to contribute towards strategic plans for the department aligned with the business plans for the company

LPC with corporate electives
Desirable (but not essential):
IP knowledge
Skills Required:
Smart appearance and manner
Self-motivated and clear thinking and able to carry out case work accurately and with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills both written and oral with clients, staff and others
Ability to work within a team
