POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION: Media Coordinator CLASSIFICATION: Part Time - 15 hours per week (with room for growth) REPORTS TO: Executive Director STAFF REPORTS: Nil
OVERVIEW Global Mission Awareness is a family of families that are passionate about the pursuit and expansion of the Kingdom through covenantal relationship. The role of Media Coordinator is vital in the fulfillment of this vision as we seek to pursue a culture of family and honor through operational excellence. The primary purpose of this role is to connect the message, ministry and testimony of GMA with various media platforms. The team member will be responsible for initiation, development and maintenance of both new and existing strategies. This team member will provide operational duties including but not limited to the following:
Social Media Responsibilities • • • •
Work with Social Media Strategist to develop content for social media outlets including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo Schedule regular content delivery and posts to respective platforms Assist with email campaigns to partners and network by collating message and media from respective departments and building out campaigns using Mail Chimp Identify opportunities for social media growth and engagement and develop content initiatives
Product Department Responsibilities • • • • •
Assist with project management and development of new resources including audio messages, video content and printed publications (including books) Manage inventory, sales, product development and reports of product sales Assist to identify marketing strategies and growth opportunities for product sales Manage relationships with publishing houses and print brokers in relation to production and sales (domestic and international) Process and dispatch online orders as well as package, ship and receive all product to churches/events prior to engagements

SKILLS AND ABILITIES Essential Criteria • • • • • •
Committed follower of Jesus as personal Lord and Savior with a growing personal relationship with Him that is visible to GMA leadership and community Operational experience in a working office and team environment Strong organizational and problem solving skills Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and/or Google Apps experience a must (database systems a plus) In-depth understanding of social media platforms including Mail Chimp, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator

Experience in copywriting, editing and print production Experience in a non-profit or ministry organization Experience in inventory management and ecommerce platforms Proven creative portfolio in videography including filming, editing and production Formal training qualification (college degree or professional qualification)

GENERAL INFORMATION Remuneration The remuneration will be discussed with the individual applicant and will include a base hourly rate. Leave is as outlined in the GMA Staff Manual and includes paid vacation leave (based on hours) and public holiday vacation days.
Probation This role will include a 12-week probation period with a growth review at the end of 4 weeks and full review at the end of the 12-week period. During this period, the team members’ suitability will be monitored and the Executive Director or President may terminate the employment if the incumbent is deemed unsuitable.
Review A biyearly performance review will be held where the incumbent will be provided with feedback on their overall performance and discussion held as to opportunities for growth and development.
