Abstract: A sample of 32 O.P.G. radiographs were selected for individuals, (16 males and 16 females; aged 10.0-13.0y) having a history of early loss lower second primary molar from one side. The data that has been obtained from these traced films proved that the space after early loss of that tooth would be highly reduced (more than 50% of the distance), mainly due to the mesial drift of lower permanent molars (p 0.05), however significant differences were found between males and

females regarding (IPD ) and (Sn-Me ) distances (P< 0.05), while for the rest of he measured facial distances, highly significant difference between males and females was found (P> 0.05).

3- Correlation among facial distances: By using the coefficient correlation test, table (4) and (5) show the correlation present between each two mentioned facial distances in males and females respectively, however the most important obtained statistically significant correlation: 1. Significant positive correlation between nose (NW) width and mouth width (MU)in both sexes. 2. Significant positive correlation between the height of vermilion exposure of upper (P) and lower lip (Q) in both sexes 3. Significant positive correlation between inter parietal distance (IPD) and intercondyler (IcoD) distance in both sexes 4. Significant positive correlation between interzygomatic distance (IZD) and intergonial (IGD) distance in both sexes
