Monsters Unite!

Our school is collecting funds for the All for Books program and it’s all monsters on deck to make it happen!

What is All for Books? For every dollar we collect, Scholastic provides one book to Kids in Need Foundation and Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc., up to one million books per year.

In addition to the books that get donated on our behalf, we get to spend the money we’ve collected on our students at the book fair. We can use it to purchase books for classroom libraries or to help out a student who may come up a little short at the cash register. It really is WIN, WIN! Last year Los Primeros students helped donate over 1,100 books!

To make our collection a little more fun this year, we are having a competition!

Students will bring change to their classroom as indicated below and the class with the most change collected will win a prize basket and a principal’s recess! There will be one winner from K-2nd grade classes, one from 3rd – 5 th grade classes and one from 6th – 8th grade classes.
