Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) FET was established under MRIIRS in the year 2009. Presently FET is engaged in a focused mission via innovative techniques and creative thinking to give graduate engineers the competitive edge in an ever-expanding global market. It offers B.Tech degree programs in following disciplines: AERO, ARCH, AUTO, BT, CIVIL, CSE, ECE, EEE, ME. At U.G. level, apart from the normal B.Tech. Programmes, it offers B.Tech. with various specializations in association with leading industries like JBM and SuKam in, Mechanical and Electrical Engg. respectively. It also offers Master’sprogrammes in Biotechnology, Mechanical, Electronics and communication, Electrical, Civil and Computer Engineering, and PhD programmes in the various disciplines of engineering and allied subjects.
Automobile Engineering Department The Department of Automobile engineering was established in 2009 with an objective to provide skilled manpower to the Auto hub of NCR. Also to fulfill a huge deficit in the demand and supply of well-qualified automobile engineers in the country there is a need of this specialized programme. Teaching program is so developed that it provides students the mastery of fundamentals, motivation for learning, intellectual efficacy and self-reliance which in turn provide the best foundation for continuing professional achievement. The infrastructure and lab facilities provide adequate opportunities for students and researchers to learn and innovate. The department has industrial tie ups with Honda Motorcycles and scooters India Limited (HMSI), Indian oil Corporation & Automotive skill development council to have a feel about the culture of industry. This will make students Industry ready for placement. The projects designed and developed by students had won accolades at International & national levels. About SAE India Society of automotive engineers (SAE) India is an affiliate society of SAE International registered in India as an Indian nonprofit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of mobility industry in India. SAE is a professional engineering society whose membership represents practically every engineering and scientific discipline. SAE has a vision to continuously enrich knowledge base of practitioners in mobility industry and institutions in the Service of humanity. It’s mission is to provide its members access to SAE International programs and services globally enabling them to practice world class standard in productivity and quality, to develop technical and scientific reports and engineering standards for the benefit of mankind and to provide a forum for members to informally exchange views and ideas.
Objectives The workshop is intended for the students, Research Scholars, practicing engineers and people from R&D in the field of Automobile sectors with the objectives as : To make the aspiring Engineers/professionals acquainted with the conceptual as well as practical knowledge of the latest ongoing development in Emission norms, vehicle servicing, automotive safety to name a few. To inculcate the fundamentals of automotive technology in the students / professionals and provide them with a platform to work on, in the near future. To provide hands on experience in state of art laboratories of the department. A industrial visit is also planned to have a feel of the culture, quality & safety tools followed by Industry. Industrial visit to Auto servicing / manufacturing unit. Demonstration and hands on experiment on each topic.
