MUG Summit Session Categories Category: Maximo System Administration Sessions: 1. Presentation Title: How to Integrate SCADA and Maximo while Preserving Security Presenter: Melissa Ekmark | Starboard Consulting Summary: Starboard has worked with clients who have sought to Integrate SCADA to Maximo Asset Meters. The goal was to allow the current SCADA system to send meter readings for specific plant assets to Maximo for the purpose of generating meter based work orders from the Preventive Maintenance application allowing plant maintenance to improve their preventive and predictive maintenance programs. The benefits obtained by moving to a Predictive based Maintenance philosophy were significant. 2. Presentation Title: Maximo as an IT Support Solution Presenter: Projetech Technical Support Analysts Summary: Projetech has been supporting Maximo users for 20 years and, in 2013, we decided to harness Maximo, specifically IBM Control Desk, to streamline our IT Support. This session will be a glimpse into how we utilize IBM control Desk applications, such as Assets, Customers, Service Requests, Change Requests, Solutions, and Incidents, to prove first-in-class service for our internal IT needs as well as to our Maximo clients. 3. Presentation Title: How Cummins Achieved Maximo Modernization Using the Latest

Supported Technology Stack Presenter: Joe Ehlers | Cummins Summary: Cummins is a Fortune 500 company that designs, manufactures and distributes engines, filtration, and power generation products. Cummins uses IBM Maximo as its global MRO Maintenance and Inventory Management solution. In late 2014, Cummins decided to modernize its global Maximo architecture and migrate to a new data center. After extensive analysis of all available options in the marketplace and our own technology stack, Cummins selected the latest available and supported versions and technologies for Maximo modernization and laid out an extremely aggressive schedule. The team derived a cost- and time-effective approach that typically could be used with any Maximo upgrade.

Presenter: Shannon Craft | Johnson & Johnson & Matt Boehne | Banetti Summary: Johnson & Johnson is leveraging IBM Watson Analytics and IoT toolsets with the Banetti IoT TSM expertise to gain deep understanding and control over the breadth and depth of all Intelligent Assets deployed in the J&J Enterprise. IoT TSM is an Enterprise Device & Asset Management (EDAM) solution rooted in the power of the IBM IoT toolset and Watson Analytics. The IoT TSM approach of a single solution layer lying on top of existing systems and devices allows J&J to deploy a standard across all production sites regardless of what underlying technology is in place today. With IoT TSM in place, J&J has an unprecedented window into the Enterprise technology landscape, both legacy and planned. The solution provides a single dashboard view of the Enterprise, enabling insight into the “dark” sectors of the manufacturing organization while providing intelligent decision support across the Enterprise from top to bottom. TSM is an “active listener” in the world of invisible IT communications and information, which allows J&J to react immediately and intelligently to the rapidly changing BYOD landscape. 5. Presentation Title: Working Outside the Walls – An Adventure in Enterprise Data Transfer Presenter: Jeff Murray | Bering Straits Summary: A real world application of Maximo's ability to interact with an external enterprise system. The basis is an actual implementation of two scenarios: 1) Passing data from an In-house instance of Maximo to an external instance of Maximo 2) Interacting with an external web-site and passing real time data between Maximo and the web-site focusing on methods chosen, major challenges and solutions, and some basic underlying principles. This is not an exhaustive 'training' class but a chance to see how one company met real life challenges. 6. Presentation Title: Moving into the Future with an IoT Framework of People Presenter: Brian Baird & Chase Caswell | Northstar Blue Scope Steel Summary: Workplace injuries entail huge economic, emotional and physical costs for companies, their employees and society. Yet many workplace injuries could be prevented. WorkRight combines data from wearable, mobile devices and analytics to automatically recognize and predict unsafe working conditions before accidents occur. In this session, we will describe and demonstrate the pilot WorkRight solution at North Star BlueScope Steel, which combines different wearable and nearby sensors, mobile applications for plant workers and their supervisors, IBM Bluemix and MobileFirst Platform infrastructure, and sophisticated analytics. 7. Learning Lab Simulation: Maximo 7.6 - Security Model 8. Learning Lab Simulation: Maximo 7.6 - Workflows 9. Learning Lab Simulation: Maximo 7.6 – Domains and Lookups 10. Learning Lab Simulation: Maximo 7.6 – Database Configuration 11. Ask the Pros: Ask the Pros Roundtable Q&A - End User and Technical Users
