RECYCLED CONTENT Did you know a glass bottle takes more than 4,000 years to decompose and approximately 5 out of every 6 bottles end up in a landfill? We think, why not create beautiful art tile instead? Annually, we use more than two million pounds of bottle glass from curbside recycling programs in a closed-loop process that aims to have positive impact on our communities and the environment. As a result, our glass colors contain up to 97% recycled material as well as being durable and lasting design statements. Our company is passionate about continually improving our sustainability efforts, from increasing the recycled content of the tile through formula advancements to minimizing energy and waste; we strive for measurable improvements year after year. In 2008, we reduced energy consumption for glass manufacturing by 20% and for 2009 the target is an additional 10% reduction. We also implemented a coprocessing partnership to eliminate any of our manufacturing waste from going to a landfill. As is evident in our products and business practices, we are committed to ongoing advancements and environmental leadership.
