Aim

Students should get acquainted with the importance of the international economic integration. They should know what factors determine international exchange rates and how foreign events can effect their economy. A further purpose of this lecture is to consider the impacts of monetary and fiscal policy on the exchange rates and net exports. In times of increasing globalization they will have to consider how open economy factors influence the effectiveness of monetary and fiscal policies

construct real exchange rates

describe the consequences of fiscal policy in an open economy

analyze the macroeconomic impacts of monetary policy in different exchange rate regimes

discuss the main issues of increasing globalization

express an own opinion with the help of special technics of argumentation
