Neutron Activation Cross Sections for 60Ni(n,p)6OmCo, 60Ni(n,p)6Om+gCo and 58Ni(n,p)58mCo Reactions in the 5 to 12 MeV Energy Range Abstract Excitation functions were measured from 5 to 12 MeV for 60 Ni(n,p )60mCo, 60 Ni(n,p)60m+gCo and 58 Ni(n,p)58mCo reactions using dd gas targets at the variable energy cydotrons at Jülich and Debrecen. The measured data for the 60 Ni(n,p)60m+gCo reaction deviate considerably from the older data and do not show the earlier found structure. Our data, together with some other new measurements, indicate that for this reaction the cross sections in the libraries should be revised. The data for the 60 Ni(n,p)60mCo and 58 Ni(n,p)58mCo reactions give new information in this energy range. Page %P Page 1
