Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) where your guide will explain the geological history of these giant domes. Enjoy a 2 to 3 hour walk in the valley between the massive red conglomerate rocks. The walking path is rocky and requires a good level of fitness. Marvel at the unique flora and fauna that has survived in this harsh environment. Reach the Valley of the Winds Lookout and take some time to gaze out over the central valley of Kata Tjuta. Then take in a magnificent outback sunset at Kata Tjuta while enjoying a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and nibbles. ULURU SUNRISE AND GUIDED BASE WALK An AAT Kings coach will pick you up from your hotel to commence a morning Uluru Sunrise and Guided Base Walk tour. Rise early and travel to the sunrise viewing area, Talinguru Nyakunytjaku near Uluru, to watch the first rays of sunlight creep across the desert plains. Here you will receive breakfast, as well as the opportunity to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits as the morning sun slowly changes the colour of Uluru. After sunrise, accompany your guide to commence your Base Walk of Uluru. First up, walk from Kuniya Piti, an Uluru sacred site and hear the Tjukurpa (Anangu the local Aboriginal people - beliefs and law) story of the Mala Men. Next is the Mala Walk, one of the most important habitation areas for the local Aboriginal people over thousands of years. The walk includes a visit into Kantju Gorge where after rainfall, water can cascade over the side of Uluru and plunge some 90 metres. From here, you are then on to the base of the climb point. After a short rest break, continue on along the Lungkata Walk to hear the Tjukurpa story of the cheeky Blue Tongue Lizard! Next stop is the Mutitjulu Waterhole. Your guide will indicate the natural features of the landscape, Aboriginal rock paintings and relay more traditional stories relating to this special place. The waterhole was once an important water source for the Anangu people. The last section to complete your base walk is back to Kuniya Piti where you will board your coach back to Ayers Rock Resort and receive a certificate of your achievement! Tour concludes at approximately 1.00pm, at which time hotel drop offs will commence. As your peaceful ride comes to a close, you will be greeted and offered sparkling wine as you arrive at the sand dune viewing platform where your Sounds of Silence experience begins. Entered into the Australian Tourism Hall of Fame, Sounds of Silence offers the best of the Red Centre distilled into four magical hours. An unforgettable evening, eating beautifully prepared food under the sparkling outback sky. The journey begins on a lone sand dune. A meandering path takes participants to an uninterrupted, 360 degree view of this vast landscape. In front is the fabled Uluru; behind are the domes of Kata Tjuta and, possibly the most spectacular sunset you have ever seen. Here enjoy sparkling wine and a selection of delectable canapés. As the sun sets in a blaze of reds and oranges, and well into the starlit night, feast on a gourmet barbecue buffet of authentic Australian delicacies including barramundi, kangaroo, emu, crocodile, bush salads and classic desserts, complemented by some of Australia's finest wines. Attention then turns to some of the world's best stargazing, as the resident astronomer takes diners on an unforgettable tour of the spectacular southern night sky. As dinner winds down, select from a choice of tea, coffee or port. In winter, guests gather around a campfire to savour a special treat of hot mulled wine. An AAT Kings coach will pick you up from your hotel to commence the journey from Ayers Rock to Kings Canyon. Travel through rugged, desert scenery of the outback between Ayers Rock Resort and Kings Canyon. Pass through Curtin Springs cattle station before viewing Atila (Mt Conner) from the coach. After turning off the Lasseter Highway and onto the Luritja Road, informative commentary about the history of the surrounding cattle stations will be provided. Arrive at Kings Canyon Resort where there may be time to view the sun setting behind Carmichaels Crag.

Follow the rim of the canyon, with stops along the way at lookout points to look down into the canyon gorge. Time permitting, stop at the green oasis of the 'Garden of Eden'. The circuit walk takes approximately 3 hours to complete and is rocky and steep in parts. It is recommended for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder strewn canyon floor is available. Tour concludes approximately 3.5 hours after commencement at Kings Canyon Resort.
