Freading eBooks for Nook Tablets, Nook HD and HD+

How Freading Works • Library patrons can download free books for a two-week loan period with a two-week renewal option. • Multiple users can simultaneously check out the same book. • Patrons are allotted five tokens per week to check out books.
• Patrons can accumulate up to 20 tokens in a 4 week period and all but 5 expire at the end of each 4 week period. • Each book has an established token value of one to four tokens, depending on its popularity and release date. In most cases, newly-published books are valued at four tokens. Older books are valued at either one or two tokens. • Most renewals cost 0 tokens. • Download the Freading app OR use the OverDrive app if you already have OverDrive downloaded to your device. 2
Nook Tablets can open Freading eBooks in the OverDrive app • Easiest: Use OverDrive Media Console app if you have already downloaded it for OverDrive eBooks • If not, you can download OverDrive Media Console onto Nook Tablet easily 3
Download the OverDrive Media Console App Shop in the app store for Overdrive Media Console

If you have an Adobe ID, sign in using your email and password. If you do not have an Adobe ID, tap on Get a free Adobe ID 6
Fill in the entire form. Remember your username and password. You will need it for the next step. Tap on Create. 7
Return to the OverDrive app. Enter the same email and password you used to create your Adobe ID. Tap on Authorize. 8
When it has completed, it will show your email address and state Deauthorize. Your device is now authorized and this onetime activation is complete. 9
Go to www.poudrelibraries.org and choose Downloadable Library

Change the font, style and spacing using the Settings menu.
Table of Contents in the Nook HD and HD+ Use the Navigation menu to see the Table on Contents. The ribbon will add bookmarks.
Returning and item in the Nook HD and HD+
To return an item, go to your bookshelf. Press and hold the title, then choose return.

Renew or Redownload a title
To renew an item, click on the expired title, and download the epub eBook again. Most renewals cost 0 tokens.
