Allied Cooperative Speakers
Mr. Hines’ and my classes listened to a number of people from Allied Cooperative came to talk about career opportunities and what they do in their positions. One person who works in human resources came to talk about internships and career opportunities in Allied Cooperative. She also talked about important tips when applying for a job. Three people from the agronomy department came in to talk about the different things they do in a day. They brought a weigh Wagon to test yields and a dry fertilizer applicator. They talked about the agronomy and fertilizer side of Allied Cooperative. Also they brought an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) and showed the students how it worked and the applications of it in many different industries including agronomy. - Ms. Babcock

Trigonometry Experiments
These are a couple of photos from a project my students were working on in Trigonometry. They were using a clinometer (measures the angle of elevation) and tape measures to find the height of the high school (1st Floor, 2nd Floor, and the Large Gym) using the math skills we have learned in class. They compared them to the actual heights (found on the blue prints) to determine how accurate they were.
