Finger puppets are great for imaginative play, story time and long journeys. These Matryoshka Doll Finger Puppets are ever so sweet and can be made in a variety of ways. Colour Suggestions and Materials Required:
This pattern includes 3 different Hair Styles and 3 different Head Scarf styles. You can mix and match to your heart’s content! There are also different eye options to change her look even more.
Embroidery Thread: You will need embroidery thread that matches the felt colours that you select. In all cases use 2 strands of embroidery thread.
Stitches Used: These Matryoshka Doll Finger Puppets have been sewn together by hand using a combination of a running stitch, a straight stitch and a blanket stitch or a whip stitch. Suggestions for which stitch to use have been mentioned in the instructions, however you can use whichever stitch you are most comfortable with.

Cutting out your felt Start by cutting out your chosen Matryoshka Doll Pattern Pieces in felt. Try tracing the pattern pieces onto freezer paper and then ironing it onto your felt. This will make cutting out your felt shapes a breeze!
TIP: Cut out the Back Body in the same colour felt as the Head Scarf
Matryoshka Doll Face and Hair Position the Face centrally on the Head Scarf. Sew in place using a few running stitches along the lower edge of the Face. Use thread that blends in with your chosen Face colour.
Sew your chosen hairstyle in place with a few running stitches. You can sew around the edges of the hair or you could use the thread to add a little texture to the hair.
Sew on some Eyes by stitching a couple of large crosses, or a curved line and some sweet little eyelashes. You could even sew a couple of French knots or sew on some small round beads. Sew a smile with some red thread.

Matryoshka Doll Head Scarf and Decoration Lay the Face and Head Scarf over the Front Body. Secure in place with either some straight stitches or a running stitch along the lower edge of the Head Scarf.
Choose a co-ordinating or contrasting thread colour to create the look you are after.
Sew on the heart using some straight stitches.
Matryoshka Doll Body Align the Front Body over the Back Body. Sew in place around the outside edge, using a whip stitch or a blanket stitch.
Choose a thread colour to co-ordinate with the Back Body and Head Scarf.
