Abstract Training Center Building of IAIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya consists of four floors with 54 m length and 14.4 m width. This building is located in the fourth earthquake zone based on the analytic map of probabilities, seismic danger of SNI 1726-2002. Therefore, it is designed with method of Intermediate Moment Resistant Frame System (IMRFS) The structure calculation is using SAP 2000 program and for the loading on each floor, based on the Regulation of Loading for the Building 1983 (relevant PPIUG 1983). Meanwhile, the earthquake loading is based on the Procedure of Earthquake Resistant Planning for the Building Construction (SNI 03-17262000). For the planning of earthquake burden calculation, it is using the equivalent static analysis. The calculation on the upper ground structure and under ground structure is using the procedure of concrete structure calculation for building construction (SNI 03-2847—2002) and other supporting regulations. From the analysis and calculation which have been done, it has gained some results, namely the upper ground structure is consisting of 12 cm thickness for the floor plate and 10 cm for the roof plate, in which the column dimension is 50x50 cm and the iv

beam dimension is 30x50 cm. Meanwhile, the under ground structure is Ø 35 cm for the pile dimension with 20 m depth. Keyword: equivalent static, IMRFS
