The first-of-its-kind soccer-specific stadium in Phoenix made its debut on March 25 in the club’s 2017 season opener against Toronto FC II (a 1-0 loss). The stadium has an official total capacity of 6,200 but with the addition of the stadium’s field seats, luxury suites and standing-room only areas, crowds can be as large as 7,000. This season the club has made several additions to the stadium including bar areas at two corners of the stadium, a bigger merchandise tent and bigger snack shacks and a large tented area for fans to enjoy their concessions away from the sun.

Wonderful Woz Goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski -- the club’s all-time minutes played leader -- made four saves in PRFC’s May 4 win over LA Galaxy II, giving him 23 saves this season, tied for 9th most in the USL. Johnson Back to Scoring Forward Jason Johnson has found the back of the net for the first time all season in his last two games. On May 4, Johnson scored a brace against LA Galaxy II that helped PRFC complete a three-goal second-half comeback. On May 9, Johnson added his third goal of the year at OKC Energy FC. Johnson’s three goals are fourthmost on the the team after he led the club in scoring last season with 13 goals in USL play. His efforts in Week 8 earned him USL Tema of the Week Honors.
Carteron chasing history With the club’s 5-1 win over Tulsa Roughnecks FC on May 12, 2018, head coach Patrice Carteron accrued his 67th league point as head coach of Phoenix Rising. That broke the club’s alltime mark set by Mike Dellorusso (65). Carteron also has 19 wins as the club’s coach in all competitions, leaving him just one shy of Dellorusso (20) for the club record. Road Warriors Phoenix Rising FC kept its unbeaten road record in tact with its 5-1 win over Tulsa Roughnecks FC on May 12, 2018. PRFC is 4-0-1 in away matches this season and has outscored its opposition 11-2. PRFC has kept clean sheets in three away games as well: 1-0 win over Reno 1868 FC, 1-0 win over LA Galaxy II, 3-0 over OKC Energy FC.
