A Grand Prize winner will be chosen from each category. Two runner-ups will also be chosen from each category. Winners will be announced on the Hubbell Lighting website in early December.

Details: Hubbell Lighting, Inc. is excited to announce the 2015 LitePro DLX Design Competition. This competition is open to lighting design professionals and students internationally. This is your chance to show off your most impressive designs in Hubbell Lighting’s new software, LitePro DLX. The Grand Prize winner will receive their choice of a Stainless Steel Apple Watch or iPad Air 2. Runner-ups will receive their choice of an Apple Watch Sport or iPad Mini 3. Judging will occur the first week of December by our 3 industry recognized judges.

Judges Chris Bailey is currently an Associate Principal with The Lighting Practice and has been with the firm for 14+ years after graduating from Penn State University’s Architectural Engineering program. His lighting project experience includes a diverse range of corporate, liturgical, educational, healthcare, hospitality, and historic projects around the country and abroad. Jered is a Professional member of the IALD and is active with the IES, serving both leadership roles in the local Philadelphia section as well as on the Progress Report committee at the National level. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Drexel University for 9 years, educating architecture students on the importance of quality lighting design for the built environment.

Friedrich W. Bremecker

Friedrich W. Bremecker started working at DIAL in the photometric laboratory and was responsible for photometric testing. He was announced as the head of the testing department in 1998 and was responsible for the accreditation of the Lab according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. From 2000 until 2007 he was manager of the DIALux development team. During this time DIAL developed the software generation DIALux 2.x, DIALux 3.x and DIALux 4.x. Since 2007 Friedrich has been head business development. He leads the international sales team with offices in Lüdenscheid, Germany, Jersey City, NJ, and Taichung, Taiwan. Friedrich is President of the DIAL America Inc. and Business Unit Director at DIAL GmbH. He is vice chairman of the LTGR and has published numerous forms of publications in lighting journals. He is co-author of the book “Energiever(sch)wendung”. He has held numerous lectures on international exhibitions and lighting conferences (LiTG, LIF/LIA, LTG, ZVEI, Lux Europe, CIES, SLG, LFI, IESNA).
