2016 Algonquin’s Art on the Fox Best in Show All artist booths will be judged on Saturday for the Best of Show awards. The Best of Show winner and Awards of Excellence will be presented at the artist reception Saturday evening. A special thank you to the volunteer best in show judge, Justin Schmitz, who is an accomplished photographer and currently teaches as an Instructor of Photography at McHenry County College. A special thank you as well to Algonquin Village President John C. Schmitt, who will select the recipient of the inaugural President’s Choice Award. Entertainment Stop by the central plaza of the park throughout the weekend, which will feature the Picasso Zone, a children’s art area with free projects and demonstrations, a Student Art Exhibit and poetry readings by literary students from McHenry County College (Sat 1pm), and folk music performed by local resident Phil Munton (Sat & Sun 11am). Also, starting at noon on Saturday, the first 1,500 art show attendees will receive free ice cream compliments of Colonial Café. Sponsor of Kids Art Activities:
