Radio Drama Production LB111 1 Foundation Degree (Radio) 20 None To give students a knowledge of the principles and techniques of radio drama planning, production and post production. At the end of the module, students should be able to demonstrate: 1. A technical proficiency in recording and mixing drama content; 2. An ability to edit fiction for radio, using effects and music; 3. A knowledge and awareness of auditioning, producing, rehearsing and directing actors for radio drama content including plays, readings and fictional content; 4. An ability to work in a team environment; 5. An ability to reflect and evaluate upon the process of radio drama creation and the experience of working in a production team.

Students will work in groups to prepare and produce a 5-10 minute excerpt of a story or drama for radio. (Learning Outcomes 1,2, 3 and 4) (60%) Students will keep a weekly reflective journal throughout this process which documents and reflects upon the experience (Learning outcome 5) (40%).
