RE-VALUE
RETHINKING THE VALUE OF ARTS AND CULTURE
WELCOME TO RE-VALUE AND AARHUS 2017 Welcome to Aarhus – European Capital of Culture 2017. In the course of 2017, Aarhus and the eighteen other municipalities in the Central Denmark Region is celebrating a year as European Capital of Culture. Rethinking the value of arts and culture is a key issue for Aarhus 2017; and the partnership with Aarhus University is a unique opportunity to ask the question: How can we understand and talk about the value of arts and culture?
Aarhus, Denmark 2017 Wednesday 8 to Saturday 11 November
At the Re-Value conference we address the pressing need for new ways to evaluate, debate and understand the values of arts and culture in society today. Of course in relation to European Capitals of Culture, but also more broadly. During the conference local and international scholars and practitioners will give answers, ask questions and engage in conversations.
