From the world’s beginning to its cataclysmic end: in Der Ring des Nibelungen, Richard Wagner forged a myth for his own time and ours, and created a totally immersive musical and dramatic event. The Ring is a tale of gods and heroes, dwarves and giants – yet its characters are driven by passions that are all too human.
