RPCS Weekly Homework Sheet Greetings Parents, Guardians, and Scholars: Proverb of the Week: “Only a fool tests the depth of the river with both feet.” Many thanks to Mama Linda, Baba Jawanza (Ife’s Dad), Mama Andria (Ashai’s Mom), and Baba Robert (Destinee’s Dad) for assisting in the classroom in my absence last week. We really appreciate your pitching in to ensure that the classroom ran smoothly! We’ll go to the National Building Museum on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Please make sure that your scholar arrives to school on time. Scholars have access to online math help: www.connected.mcgraw-hill.com. The website is listed on each page of their math textbooks. There is an online tutor that will assist you. I will be at a conference Monday, October 7-Wednesday, October 9, 2013. If you available to lend a hand, please let me know ASAP. Our regular schedule will be changed in my absence. Thanks in advance for supporting our scholars!
Scholars should be in uniform daily and the policy will be enforced per the Parents’ Handbook. No clogs or sandals—feet must be enclosed. To avoid any problems or inconveniences, make sure your scholar is properly dressed. The grace period ends Tuesday, October 1, 2013.
New spelling words/packets are given every Friday (students must write them in their planners). Your vocabulary words should be checked by Tuesday to ensure that you are studying the correct definitions. The packets are due and tests are given on Friday mornings. No make-ups!
If you have any questions concerning your scholar’s progress, please feel free to call/text me between 5:00-9:00 p.m. on (202)271-0457. We are partners in your scholar’s education. Thanks for all that you do to help our scholars be successful!
HAVE AN AWESOME WEEK!!
