Our best selling tour of Russia travels between the two iconic cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg and offers an insight into the fascinating enigma that is the world’s largest country. See first-hand opulent palaces and onion domed cathedrals, a visual reminder of the incredible wealth enjoyed in the era of the Czars. In contrast we also explore the magnificent towns of the famed Golden ring including Suzdal, where time has stood still. DAY 1 MOSCOW We commence our tour with an arrival transfer to Hotel Metropol (5 star). This evening, we meet our guide and fellow tour members for a welcome dinner followed by an evening walk to the heart of Moscow, spectacular Red Square, to see it beautifully illuminated at night. We then take a scenic lunch cruise along the Moskva River and, this evening, enjoy an entertaining performance by the famous Moscow Circus. (B, L) DAY 3 MOSCOW As we travel by Moscow’s famous metro with our guide, we will learn of its history and see its lavishly decorated stations.
