After years of not being able to have children naturally, we are eager to grow our family in such a special way. We cannot even begin to imagine the emotions you are experiencing and decisions that lay ahead for you. We admire your strength and love for your child.

es, they are big but they are some of the sweetest dogs. When we got married, we wanted a dog that would sit and watch TV with us. They do exactly that but also enjoy taking walks and visiting the neighbors.
W
e met while attending Wichita State University through a Campus Christian group. We dated for several months and funny man, Dale, proposed on April 1st (It was no April Fools). We were married September 17, 2005. We had a plan that included us having children naturally but God had other plans for our lives and He has brought us to this amazing opportunity. We are so honored to be a part of this adventure.

e grew up in faith based homes and our faith continues to be an integral part of our lives. Our faith in God is our foundation that all else is built. Like us, our child will grow up in a faith based home.

Meanwhile, we enjoy finding Kansas treasures, be it landmarks or hole in the wall restaurants. When at home we enjoy loving on our two dogs or watching sci-fi ‘B’ films. (Weird, we know, but they are so horrible it’s hilarious.)

Meet Annie: Great Dane, nine years old, loves kids (Tries to mother them), favorite spot is on the couch beside Dale or Sarah, very gentle, she’s our sweet old girl.

DALE loves to experiment with grilling and smoking meats. He enjoys watching hockey and baseball. He’s great with all things technology, which is a huge blessing. We both love going to watch WSU basketball! SARAH likes reading, drawing, running, and dabbles in a little sewing. She also enjoys the occasional shopping trip with girlfriends. In the kitchen, she likes to find and try out new recipes. We love to play board or card games. Our favorites include Dutch Blitz, Skip-Bo, Monopoly and Stratego.

arah has a mother’s heart and our child will be so fortunate. She loves to play silly games, sing songs and run around the house dancing. Sarah is a cheerleader for the kids in our lives with whatever they are doing. One thing she has become known for is taking a tired fussy baby, calming them down and getting them to sleep in no time.
eeing Dale with a baby or any child makes my heart melt. When he’s playing with nieces, nephews or our friends’ kids, his focus is on them; there’s nothing else important at that moment. He will be a wonderful knight in shining armor for any little girl or superhero for any little boy.

ur families get together quite often for holidays, birthdays or just because. We both have a great love of family. We schedule and, most importantly, truly enjoy spending time with our families. We love being a part of our nieces’ and nephews’ lives. Our second family is our church. Our support system comes from within our biological families and our spiritual family. The love and encouragement we get from our family and friends is an insurmountable blessing. We are so blessed by those we call friends. Sometimes we laugh and play games, while other times we sit, talk and enjoy each other’s company.

ale graduated with his Master’s in Chemistry and is working as a chemist. He was also recently elected a city council member. Sarah graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and is working as a geological assistant. She plans on taking family leave initially then at the appropriate time will seek out child care with family, friends and contacts from their church. Family is a priority and thankfully we have jobs that allow us to take the time we need for family. Our work isn’t what defines our lives; it’s what we do so we can provide a roof over our heads, enjoy fun things and a future for our family.

HOME
e live in a smaller community outside Wichita, just far enough away to be away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy its perks. We are fortunate to be midway between both parents and some extended family making it easy to visit. Our home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood with great neighbors. During the days when the weather is just right, we enjoy sitting on the front porch and talking to neighbors. Another favorite place to be all together is our cozy living room, with the dogs by our side on the couch or at our feet. It’s those quiet moments that are most cherished and we’re excited to share with our child.
