Growing your own vegetable garden can be fun, educational and great for the environment. All it takes is a few simple materials – here’s what you’ll need: Materials needed for a 4x4 bed: Lumber: Redwood or cedar are best •

4-inch nails or screws to fasten boards to each other (12) 1-inch nails to secure twine to mark squares (12)

Six 4 foot lengths to mark squares

3 cubic ft. of peat moss 2 cubic ft. of Perlite 3 cubic ft. of compost 8 cubic ft. total (a good garden planting mix works too!)
