his little dog, Afa, spend most of their days paddling around the lagoon in.
Setting: Bora Bora Mako and his little dog, Afa, spend most of their days paddling around the lagoon in Mako’s small canoe. In the evenings, he listens to tales of Tupa, the ghost of the lagoon. Tupa is a huge white shark. One night, Mako learns that his father was killed by Tupa. There is a reward for the capture of Tupa. Mako resolves that he will kill the shark to avenge his father’s death. Tupa also wants the reward offered for the shark’s capture. The next day, while crossing the lagoon, Mako meets Tupa. The canoe tips and Afa falls into the water. To protect his dog, Mako drives his spear into the shark several times. He saves Afa, kills the shark, and gets the reward.
