During the work no trains will run in either direction between Tynemouth and Byker. Trains will be running to all other stations but may not be running to the usual timetable. A train shuttle service will be running between St James and Byker in either direction during the work, until about 12.30pm. The last two trains from St James 12.00pm and 12.15pm will end service at Manors instead of Byker. Customers are advised to use the extended replacement bus service due to depart Manors at 12.10pm and 12.25pm. Replacement bus Bus 900 will call at or close to all stations between Tynemouth and Byker. Replacement bus timetables and stopping points are available from nexus.org.uk/metro. The replacement bus service due to arrive at Byker 12.05pm, 12.20pm and 12.35pm will continue to Monument calling at Manors. Metro tickets and passes will be accepted on the replacement bus service. Tickets can also be purchased from the bus driver. When travelling to and from the replacement bus stops take care. The first trains to run in the affected area after the modernisation work will be the 12.33pm from Manors towards Tynemouth and 12.40pm from Tynemouth to St James.
