Our exclusive FMD DC2s achieve consistent sub-millisecond response times, even at scale. Our FMD DC2s have the processing power to manage background processing as workloads increase, unlike many solid-state disk (SSD)-based all-flash arrays. In fact, our unique FMD technology offers five times the write performance and three times the read performance of SSDs. This is unparalleled performance. With flash storage, high-performance design starts with high-performance data paths between flash devices and servers. The significant determinate of performance is the speed of interconnects and number of moves or copies of data in the path. SVOS is optimized to minimize these for flash. It doesn’t copy into a buffer or cache and then out again if the data can be copied directly

to flash. In the case of our unique cache bypass technology, SVOS avoids copying into the cache with flash reads and writes that use patented “express” I/O processing and caching algorithms. The VSP F series architecture manages increasing workloads, and the FMDs take care of background processes, so you don’t experience slowdowns.
