What is temporary protection status (TPS)?

Granted to foreigners • Forced to leave their country • Cannot return and arrived at or crossed Turkish borders.

Rights provided under TPS

Education rights Refugees can benefit from all academic and vocational training services. They can also attend universities by delivering a successful Baccalaureate exam.

While there are no legal obstacles for people under TPS to open a business in Turkey, but there are some legal obligations.

Social rights • Marriage and divorce • All rights granted to Turkish citizens are valid. Right to work 2013: Turkish government granted work permit for refugees. 2014: People under TPS have been given work permit.
