Practical Echocardiography for the Neonatologist Part 1: Imaging and Doppler of the normal heart. Basics of Doppler: This section covers the basics of pulsed wave, continuous and colour Doppler. It shows how to to use these modalities in different situations in neonatal echocardiography and how to optimise settings for high and low velocity. It also shows how to assess flow across each of the valves using colour and/or pulsed wave Doppler. There are examples of how this valuable tool can be used for haemodynamic assessment in neonatal echocardiography. Back
