A number of persons, seeing the JoujtNAL articles on corn have written us about helping the exhibit. Hon. H. U. Holt, Medford, Jackson county, lives' in the corn belt of Southern Oregon. He says: "I will cheerfully render such assistance m I can to make a special corn exhibit at the state fair. The outlook for a corn crop In this country Is good, fully as good as I have ever seen here," J. Ii. Dlmlck, Hubbard, who has onu of tho finest farms In this county, and Is one of Oregon's model farmers, writes: "I am glad to see tho efforts put forth to diversify farming. The more early varl.tlon of corn can be successfully raised In this valley. Tbe mora corn and bogs that we raise and the less Importation of Chicago bams, will be a long step towards driving away hard times. This has been a bad year for corn. Tho aciuion was cold and backward, and the best that can ha done the exhibit will not be m good as average, I have some field corn with stalks m largo as my wrist aiid ten feet high."
