THE LITTLE FOREST A Carcassonne Central expansion by Quevy
The small forest provides shelter for robbers, wood for construction and various types of food for the population.
EXTRA PIECES 12 new landscape tiles in the back green numbered. 2 new Landscape tile optional.
ADDITIONAL RULES Preparation Mixing the new tiles and form a column based on the numbering, with the tile 4 has to be the highest, the tiles with 1 the lowest. Take the tile 4 and place middle of the table.
1. Place a tile The tiles must be positioned so as to always make a continuous forest, and must be placed in descending order of the numbers on the backs. The tile marked with a "4" on the back must be placed as the starting tile. The two tiles marked "3" on the back must be played in a way that makes a straight line of the three tiles. The tiles marked "2" and "1" on the back may be placed anywhere as long as the forest is continuous and all of the tiles marked "2" are placed before the tiles marked "1". The back of the tiles is green, they are marked from 1 to 4. The numbering corresponds to the number of sides of the forest, of the tiles.
Start tiles, the back is marked 4.
Three sides of this tile contain a forest, the back is marked 3.
This tile contains two segments of different forest, the back is marked 2.
One side of this tile contain a forest, the back is marked 1.
You can’t place a follower on the road, it can be placed instead of the city, the back is marked 1.

Once the Forest is complete, the players continue by drawing and placing tiles from the base game (and expansions) as normal.
2. Deploy a follower You can place followers as usual on roads, cities, fields, and cloisters. You can’t place followers on the forest.
Interactions with Official Expansions If you want to use this expansion together with one of the expansions “River”, replace the mouth with one of the two mouths alternatives, based on the expansion used and eliminate the tile with the lake. Use the tiles forest once the tile mouth alternative has been placed on the table, so as to form with the shingles with the back 4 and the back 3 forming a straight line of 4 tiles, then position the tiles at will, following the rules positioning written earlier.
Replace the mouth of the river or the river Big Box 5, with this tile.
Replace the mouth of the River 2, with this tile.
Remove this tile.
If you use the expansion "The Princess & the Dragon", the dragon can pass on the tiles forest, but can’t feed farmers placed on them, because they find shelter among the trees. If you use the expansion "The Tower", when the area of influence of a tower through a forest a tile, in whatever way it is positioned, the distance of influence is diminished. They serve two floors of the tower to cross a forest tile instead of 1. No penalty is counted if the follower is on the forest tile.
To capture a follower located 3 tiles away from the tower, through a single tile forest serve four floors of the tower. If you use the expansion "Abbey & Mayor", the barns can’t be placed above the forest tiles. If you use the expansion "Bridges, Castles & Bazaars", the bridges can’t be built on top of the tiles if they go to the forest above the trees.

Interactions with Fan Expansions Even if you use the Fan-Expansions "Forests, Forest Fire, Woodlands, Log Cabin, Fairy Tales, An Apple a Day, Evergreen Forest, Timber!, Merry Men, Green Dragon" and any other Fan-Expansion that contains forests, you can’t under any circumstances, place followers in the forests of the tiles green back. If you use the Fan-Expansion "Lakes and Fishmongers”, the lake on the tiles present suffers the same effects of the expansion.
